In the world of physics Glass by definition is not a solid it’s referred to as a super cooled liquid. There is no better example of that than in this custom bar top. Like water suspended in time the liquid properties of glass create a strong design element. A slight texture was added to the glass to hide fingerprints. The glass counter top floats six inches over the acid washed copper counter top. In this application the edge of the glass elevates the entire room to supper cool .
I designed and built a special kiln just so I could accomplish this drip technique. I love the fluid look and feel of the glass. When you sit at the bar you can help but feel the edge. This is a one of a kind custom bar top. I’ve been in a bar or two and after having a few on this one, it will leave an impression you won’t forget.
